Sourced figures: prices in the table carry their source and check month. They are third-party figures, sources can disagree, and none of them is our offer.

Titik Nol Bira is a viewpoint area about 2 km from Bira Beach by one press account, with a pinisi monument, a clifftop plaza and a glass bridge reached by 77 steps. Puncak Pua Janggo, a hill with a cleric's grave, is a separate stop. Seascapes warns of unfenced clifftops on the eastern rim and macaques at the point, so assume both may apply.
What is Titik Nol?
Titik Nol is a clifftop viewpoint area. Detik, reporting in May 2024, places it about 2 km from Bira Beach, with steps running down to the base of the cliff and a monument shaped like a pinisi.
Think of it as a short land stop and not a beach. You come for the view, the plaza and the glass bridge. Everything below rests on press and operator descriptions, some of them a few years old, so anything built or priced may have changed by the time you arrive.
What can you see at Titik Nol Bira?
Three things share the area, and a fourth lies back toward the port.
| Sight | What is reported | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Pinisi monument and cliff steps | Boat-shaped monument; steps to the base of the cliff | Detik, May 2024 |
| Teras Bira | A plaza running 500 m along the clifftop, included in the Titik Nol gate fee | Detik, May 2024 |
| Bira glass bridge | Built in 2022, 20 m long, reached by 77 steps | Detik, May 2024 |
| Puncak Pua Janggo | Described as the highest point in Bira; turn-off about 200 m north of Bira port | Detik, May 2024 |
Those 77 steps to the glass bridge matter more than the bridge's length if anyone in your group has trouble with stairs, because whatever you walk down, you walk back up. The figures come from one press article, so ask at the gate whether the bridge is open before you plan around it.
Teras Bira needs no extra planning, since Detik says the Titik Nol gate fee covers it. That fee is in the price table on this page, next to a resort guide's approximate 2026 charge for the Cape Bira park. They come from different sources and years, and neither source says whether the two are the same gate, so ask when you pay and open the source behind any row you rely on. The Tanjung Bira entrance fee guide covers the wider zone tariff; ask at the gate whether one ticket covers both.
How high is it?
That depends on the source. Detik gives 50 m above sea level for Titik Nol. The Seascapes guide, written by a resort on Bara Beach, says the cliffs stand over twenty metres. One may refer to the site and the other to the rock face, and neither explains its basis, so use either as a rough idea and do not repeat it as a measurement.
Is it really the southern tip of Sulawesi?
Sources disagree openly. The national tourism site puts the beach at the mainland's southernmost tip, and the Seascapes guide denies that Cape Bira is the true southernmost point. Neither gives coordinates.
So "the southern tip" works as local shorthand for the place, and you should not treat it as a geographic finding. It changes nothing about the visit. If reaching the absolute end of the island is the reason for your trip, check a map yourself before you commit to the trip from Makassar to Bira.
What is Puncak Pua Janggo?
Puncak Pua Janggo is a hilltop, described by Detik as the highest point in Bira, and it holds the grave of a cleric who spread Islam in the area. The regency's tourism head also named it among seven leading Bulukumba destinations in an Antara report, so it is a recognised stop as well as a viewpoint.
The grave is the reason to adjust how you behave. Treat the hill as a place of respect first and a viewpoint second: dress modestly, keep your voice down near the grave, and ask before photographing anyone who has come to pray. These are our suggestions and not posted rules.
To find it, look for the turn-off about 200 m north of Bira port. The same port marks the south end of Panrang Luhu Beach, so the hill pairs naturally with a morning on that coast.
What should you watch for at Titik Nol?
Most of the risk here is ordinary, and easy to underrate on holiday.
- Unfenced edges. Seascapes describes the eastern rim's clifftops as unfenced, unlit and unwatched, with limestone undercut by the sea. It does not say whether that covers Titik Nol, so assume it may, and do not assume a rail continues past where you can see it. Stay well back from any edge, especially at dusk and with children.
- Macaques. The same guide says macaques live in the small park at the point and should not be fed. It does not say whether that park is at Titik Nol, so assume it may be. Keep food out of sight. Ask a clinician promptly about any bite or scratch; CDC's page covers rabies prevention.
- The water below. Steps to the base of a cliff do not make a swimming spot, given the tidal currents and boat traffic one sport guide warns of around the cape. Our page on whether Tanjung Bira is safe covers the wider picture.
- Your feet. Between the glass bridge steps and the cliff stairs, closed shoes will serve you better than beach sandals.
How does Titik Nol fit into a day?
Because Titik Nol sits about 2 km from Bira Beach, it is easy to add to a beach day without a separate trip. Light is the main thing to plan around. The national tourism site says sunrise and sunset can both be seen in the area, which can tempt you to stay late, but Seascapes calls the eastern rim's clifftops unlit and warns that narrow unlit roads after dark are risky on an unfamiliar motorbike. Start back while you can still see the road. Carry small notes for gates and parking; our note on ATMs and cash in Tanjung Bira explains why. The Apparalang cliffs are a separate outing, which the Seascapes guide puts thirty to forty minutes north by road.
What else should you know about Titik Nol?
What is Titik Nol in Bira?
It is a viewpoint area about 2 km from Bira Beach by Detik's account, with a pinisi-shaped monument, steps to the base of the cliff, the Teras Bira plaza and a glass bridge.
Where is the glass bridge in Bira?
Detik places it in the Titik Nol area. It reports the bridge was built in 2022 and is 20 m long. Ask at the gate whether it is open on the day you visit.
How many steps to the glass bridge in Bira?
Detik reports 77 steps. That comes from one May 2024 article, so treat it as a guide, and remember that you will climb the same stairs back.
What is at Pua Janggo?
Detik describes Puncak Pua Janggo as the highest point in Bira and says it holds the grave of a cleric who spread Islam there. Visit it respectfully. The turn-off is about 200 m north of Bira port.
Which published prices did we check?
Public third-party rates and official notices, each with its source and the month we checked it. Sources disagree, some figures are old, and rates change, so check the source before you rely on a figure. These are not our offers.
